An “Intellectual Property Rights Park” opens in Shanghai
Link: Is it just me, or does it seem as if China is undertaking a concerted effort to generate some positive press on intellectual property issues?
This article in the People’s Daily announces the opening of an intellectual property rights park in Shanghai. I have no idea what a “park” is in this context. The three paragraph “article” makes it sound like some sort of incubator or technology park, noting that companies in the park will get preferential terms, such as reduced rent. The article states that the business scope (of the park?) will cover “…collecting, processing and transferring patent information, and evaluating the performance of intellectual property rights”, whatever that means.
