Cisco Chief: “China will become the IT center of the world”

Link: At a news conference in Beijing, Cisco CEO John Chambers stated that “China will become the information technology center of the world.” The news conference was for the announcement that Cisco is building a research center in China.

With statements like that, from people like John Chambers and companies like Cisco, it seems clear that Chinese intellectual property law has to be on the verge of an enormous revolution. As China, and the Chinese, develop vested interests in intellectual property, it seems logical that the next step is to strengthen the legal protections for intellectual property.
