Indian politicking has begun on the patent amendments bill

Several Indian political parties are stating their opposition to the patent amendments bill and requesting review by a full committee.  Apparently some would like to explore any options that may be available at this late hour, including any flexibility in the TRIPs agreement relating to the patentability of drugs, among other topics.
