Japan Patent Office posts IP laws and regulations of various countries in Japanese and English

Link: The Japan Patent Office has made available a collection of English and Japanese versions of various IP laws and regulations. The collection includes patent, trademark, and industrial design legislation and regulations from several countries, including Brazil, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.

The site also includes English and Japanese versions of various IP-related treaties, including the Budapest Treaty, the European Community Treaty, the Madrid Agreement and Protocol, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Paris Convention, the Strassbourg Agreement, the TRIPS Agreement, and the Convention Establishing WIPO.

The International Affairs Division of the Japan Patent Office has made these resources available “[i]ntending to assist developing countries primarily in Asia and the Pacific Rim to establish and improve their industrial property systems…”.
