Krajec on software patents and the technorati tag idea
Russ Krajec has a nice piece discussing comments posted to another blog about the ‘technorati tags’ idea I posted here yesterday.
Again, not suprisingly, Russ and I agree on the issue of software patents. We also agree that it is in everyone’s best interest to make all relevant prior art publicly available. Don Marti, the author of the comments addressed by Russ, disagrees. Mr. Marti believes it better to keep prior art secret: “By all means publish to establish prior art, but don’t publicly “bust” a patent until the other side has wasted a bunch of money on it….”
