New Year’s Day 2005: Deadline for India
Happy New Year.
Today, January 1, 2005, is the deadline by which India must have amendments to its Patents Act in place to bring the law into compliance with the Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPs).
The remaining amendment to be made extends patent protection to food, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
See this prior PTP post for more information.
