Schwimmer’s revolutionary idea: Invite Congressmen to blog

On the insightful Between Lawyers blog, Marty Schwimmer recently suggested that legal bloggers ask our elected leaders to “come blog with us.”  Marty believes that legal blogs provide an excellent opportunity for Congressmen to interact with a group of concerned citizens outside the realm of the special interests and that Congressmen should begin tapping this resource as part of the legislative process.

This is an incredible idea.  Its a simple one, really, but has the potential to be revolutionary.  Congressmen communicating directly with groups of concerned citizens that are focused and interested on particular legislative efforts outside the realm of special interests.  Legal blogs could be a powerful tool in this world.  Perhaps the only tool available today.

Hmmmm….is there a topic on which this blog focuses and its audience has great interest in?  Hmmmm….
